Before this site, Ghosting.tv was a Los Angeles screening series for experimental animation that ran from 2013 to about 2018 and then went dark. This is its record.
The first ghost on this site is the site itself. From 2013 to about 2018 this address belonged to a live screening series in Los Angeles: experimental animation and video art shown in a house on a hill in East LA, then every other month in a room downtown, with games, food and fifteen-minute blocks of work from animators whose names are still on the roster. Then the pages stopped changing, the domain lapsed, and what survives is a handful of snapshots in the Wayback Machine.
We did not run it and we were not in the room. These pages reconstruct what the original site said about itself, with a link to the snapshot each claim comes from, and leave the gaps where the record leaves them. If you showed work there, or stood in the crowd, the submissions page is the place to tell us what these pages get wrong.
